Someone suggested a side bet, someone else said "let's climb the Fibonacci sequence on ties," and suddenly four guys were doing mental math instead of playing golf. I built the app that evening. It's free, no ads, native Swift — and it shipped to the App Store the next morning.
The game
Everyone antes the same buy-in on each hole. Win the hole outright and take the pot. Tie and the pot carries forward — but the next buy-in climbs to the next Fibonacci number: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13… A run of ties can swing the whole round.
Two modes: Flat Start (ladder resets after every settled hole — classic format) and Full Climb (the buy-in climbs every hole regardless of outcome). There's also a rollover toggle: off means a tie is a push; on means the pot carries and the stakes climb.
Setup and scoring
Add players from your friends list or just type a name, pick a starting buy-in, choose a game mode, and go. The app handles all the arithmetic hole by hole — pot size, ladder position, standings, and a settle-up view that keeps "who pays whom" as simple as possible.
Every round is saved with course and date. You can edit any hole after the fact (the app re-scores correctly), search through past rounds, and recover anything deleted within 14 days. If a round ends with money still on the table, you can bank the pot into a new round to settle it next time.
Group play
Connect with friends via a personal invite link — one tap, no sign-in required on either end. Turn on "Share with the group" when you start a round and everyone follows the live scorecard on their own phone with per-hole notifications. After the round, share a scorecard image or a link that opens the round in anyone's app as their own editable copy.
Privacy-first
No ads. No trackers. No third-party analytics. The only thing the social service stores is a display name and a random device ID — nothing else leaves the phone. iPhone only, iOS 17+, free on the App Store in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
